Slam Dunk With The Harlem Globetrotters

With almost a century of experience, The Harlem Globetrotters have captivated and inspired generations to work as a team, help one another, and grow as a community. I remember the Globetrotters as a boy red, white, and blue basketballs spinning effortlessly on the fingertips of each player. I thought they were supernatural. As an adult I am still in awe of the Globetrotters because of their overwhelming positive impact on youth and community development and I am proud to have them as a Wazala merchant.

The Harlem Globetrotters started in 1920’s on the southside of Chicago, IL as an exhibition basketball team that combined comedy, theater, and sport. They have played over 20,000 exhibition games in 120 countries making the Globetrotter brand an iconic influence in American pop culture. The red, white, and blue Globetrotter uniform and custom basketball are easily recognized. Over the years the Globetrotters have been known to use their stellar brand to positively contribute to local community growth and youth development. Some of their current goodwill projects include S.P.I.N, C.H.E.E.R, Smile Patrol, and anti-bullying campaign The ABCs of Bullying Prevention.

As an athlete and sports fan I am always thrilled to see role models take a positive stance in the community and I support The Harlem Globetrotters in their continued efforts. Check out their website for upcoming exhibitions near you and don’t forget to stop by the Globetrotters fan store for all your official gear.
